In the Nursery class, a Montessori directress will take care of 17 children between 3&6 years old.
Grouping children of different ages helps stimulate the learning of the younger ones and confirms the learning of the older ones, who internalise what they know through assisting younger child.
The child is neither pushed nor held back, he develops and learns at his own pace.
By having a small group of children, the directress brings particular attention to each child and helps him to progress at his own rhythm.

In Nursery, the child will learn about order (each piece of work has its own place in the class), independence and freedom.
He will refine his senses and develop language, prepare himself for reading and writing, mathematics and geometry.
The Montessori material gives the child experiences with concrete material from which he derives comprehension.
