Between birth and three years old, the child goes through a sensitive period for language. He learns lots of words, and slowly starts to build small sentences.
From three years onwards, the child increases his vocabulary and expresses abstract concepts, he listens and repeats what he hears. At this age, the child becomes more receptive to different intonations and languages, and is able to repeat while using the good accent.

The acquisition of a second language is easy and natural for young children. Therefore, it is important to make sure that the second language is taught in the right way to avoid the child learning mistakes or mixing up two languages.
To provide the best conditions for learning a second language, the teachers of the school will only teach in their mother-tongue. Communication between the child and the teacher is then as natural as should be.

Each child learns two languages : his mother tongue with one teacher and a second language with another teacher. Both teachers are speaking in a their mother tongue.
The child spends half of the day in his mother tongue classroom and the other half in his second language classroom. The material and the class organisation is the same in both classrooms, so that the child doesn't feel lost even though the language is different.

Our school has many advantages :
- the learning of a second language whatever the child's nationality
- to help the child meet other children of the same language
- to prepare the child for the British, American and French educational systems.

Moreover the learning of a second language turns the child's mind to the world and other cultures which will enrich him throughout his life.
