The primary purpose of the sensorial activity is to help the child in this effort to sort out the many and varied impressions given by the senses. The sensorial activity helps the child do this in 4 ways.
They are specially designed to develop, order, broaden and refine senses and perception. The activity develops the child's senses through exercises that gradually build them up from simple and complex perceptual.

The child 's senses perception are given "orders" because the activity identifies a single perceptual quality; disclose a range of discrete differences in the quality and explores patterns in those differences.
The language activity prepares for writing and reading the child learns that speech can be wrote by letters representing sounds (rough letters: associating tracing, writing, visual, and phonetics).

Writing exercises are proposed to help the child refine his handwriting to prepare for first grade (cp).
Mathematics material helps children understand abstract concepts by using concrete materials. Fractions, additions, multiplication is not only boring exercise but concrete experience. The child uses different kinds of material (objects, shapes...), and visualises them, compares them, counts them. |
